Theory of pork butchery ** new time 7:30 pm **

This is the theory class, in anticipation of the practical which is the following Saturday, December 7, 2024. This is a free class for anyone ordering a 1/2 or whole hog share. $50 for the Theory class and $50 for the practical.

Butchering a farm raised animal used to be common knowledge, but in our modern world, these skills are being lost. If you have always wanted to learn more about cutting meat into usable pieces, this class is for you. Rachelle will explain her approach to turning a pork carcass into choice cuts for your freezer. There is some pre-work required for the class.

This class is FREE to anyone who is purchasing a ½ or whole hog share for this kill date, .

Anyone can participate in the theory class for $50 and to observe/help on Butchery day for $50.
