More events and News at Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria
We are renovating to serve you better! We added this new shelf in front of the pharmacy to make room for our new WINE, BEER and CIDER department that is coming in the next couple of weeks!
We are the first Pharmacy and Culinaria in Ontario to be approved for a convenience store liquor license. I hit send on the order yesterday! I am super excited to be planning for wine pairing sessions in the new year! Stay tuned! In my effort to never shop anywhere else, I am thrilled to have the curated collection of delicious things here!
Gluten Free Bread is HERE!
GOOD Gluten Free Bread! It looks, feels and tastes like bread!! We sell it, and we are teaching a CLASS, so you can make your own!
Offering a very special GLUTEN FREE sourdough making class, with Adelle Larmour-Delong. Adelle has been living without wheat and gluten for many years, and she has perfected a recipe for sourdough bread that actually looks, rises and tastes like bread. It can be made with any gluten free flour.
She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with others. Our very first class is limited to 6 participants, since this is the first time it is being offered, and we are offering this at the introductory price of $200+tax.
Here is what you will get.
We will be making OAT or GF Buckwheat flour bread, featuring flour from our friends at K2 Milling and Poschaven Farm. All additional ingredients will be provided and you will go home with enough ingredients to make about 4 loaves once you get home. We encourage baking at home right away so that you can develop a muscle memory. You will also leave with the equipment you will need to succeed at home, a loaf pan, banneton, lame, bench scraper, starter, and we will feed you lunch!
You will mix together your own loaf to bake at home and you will bake one loaf during the class, that Adelle will have prepared ahead of time for you. You will learn how to shape and score your loaf.
We do not have a gluten free facility. If you are truly celiac, please come to the course to learn the skill and then you can purchase the flour you need from your sources and make it at home which will be safe for you. K2 Milling flour is not milled at a gluten free facility. The Poschaven Buckwheat is certified as gluten free - if you sift it you can use that during the class to prepare your own loaf.
We care about you and your health and we are doing our best to improve the quality of your life through skill-building and access.
Please click on the button below for the registration. You will need to complete a waiver form. You must prepay for the class online, by checking out of your cart. The class is not refundable if you register and don’t attend. We have limited enrollment (6) for this class. We will keep a wait list. We will offer it again at a later date if there is a lot of demand.
Registering for our classes is a bit clunky and we can’t fix it, so if you have trouble, please phone us at 705-222-2200 and our staff will help you register, or drop in and we can do it together in store
Time to celebrate Anne-Marie Mawhiney, on the pubication of her third novel, Fugitive Drifts!
I interviewed Anne-Marie on our Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria YouTube Channel, you can watch it here. Please like and subscribe to our YouTube Channel, as we are no longer producing live-streams on Facebook, since they delete them after 30 days.

We will be taking delivery of about a dozen rabbits on Friday. My brother and sister-in-law put a lot of love into raising rabbit, and this is quite delicious if you have never tried it. We cab advise on cooking tips! Inspiration from Italy or France can assist! Or Germany!
